1️⃣ TEARDROP BEADS

The beads I used in the tutorial are Czech pressed glass teardrop beads in size 10 x 6 mm. I sell them in a color mix or in crystal and champagne for white light designs.

2️⃣ MIYUKI 3 MM SPACER BEADS

Choose between silver or gold.

3️⃣ HEAD PINS

I recommend 21 gauge. Lower gauges (20, 18, etc.) will be too thick and may not fit through the hole. High gauges (22, 24, etc.) will be too thin and flimsy. I prefer flat or domed heads for this project, but ball ends will work.

The length of the head pins depends on the size of the teardrop beads. If you're using the 10 x 6 mm beads suggested, head pins that are 1.75 inches and up will work. In the tutorial, I use 2.25 inches because that's what I had on hand, but shorter pins will work.

4️⃣ ONE STEP LOOPER

The Bead Smith One Step Looper (1.5 mm) is used to create a loop that can be used to hook the charms on chain, jump rings, hoops, etc. It also cuts the excess wire.

This tutorial only shows how to make the loop with the looper tool, but you can also use round-nose pliers and wire cutters.

5️⃣ CHAIN/FINDINGS

There are endless ways you can use your charms. You can attach them to chain, hoops, ear wires, key chains, bag charms, and more! You can find the sterling silver hoops I show as an example in the tutorial here.
