Materials You'll Need
1️⃣ NYLON BEADING THREAD
I use Miyuki nylon beading thread. I do not recommend FireLine or WildFire for this project. It's too rigid and the fringe won't drape as nicely as it does with nylon beading thread.
2️⃣ BEADS
I use Miyuki size 11/0 seed beads. Miyuki beads are one of the most uniform beads in size and shape, which will produce the best result with bead weaving. For the top portion, I used a matte cream color (Miyuki 2021), but you can use any white or cream color you like.
I also incorporated some of my bead mixes into the fringe of the ghosts to make them more festive. The three mixes I show in the tutorial are Fall Fest, Bewitched, and Sweet Topaz. But this would work with any bead mix or single color. You can find the bead mixes I used and many more here.
3️⃣ SCISSORS
To cut your thread.
4️⃣ BEADING NEEDLE
With Miyuki size 11/0 seed beads, I use a size 10 or 12 beading needle.
5️⃣ EAR WIRES
Any ear wires with a loop to attach the beaded portion will work. In the tutorial, I used stainless steel ear wires.
I also have sterling silver and 14K gold-filled ear wires if you prefer, here.
6️⃣ PLIERS
You may need needle-nose pliers to attach your ear wires.
