Where to Buy Seed Beads
If you purchased one or more of our bead color palettes/bead mix recipes and are wondering where to purchase single color Miyuki seed beads or Delica beads, below a list that I put together with help from my customers. Many of these bead shops also sell other types of high quality beads and beading supplies.
If you are searching for a specific color, always search by the bead number because the bead/color names and finish descriptions vary from shop to shop. So if you find the product with the exact bead number and it visually looks like the color you are trying to match, you should be good to go. Although, always double-check to make sure you selected the correct size and shape because many colors come in multiple sizes and shapes.
Round rocaille seed beads are typically listed by size-bead number. For example 11-401. 11 is the bead size (11/0) and 401 is the bead number. Size 11/0 Delica beads are typically listed as DB followed directly by the bead number. For example, DB1131.
On Etsy and other marketplaces, please be sure to carefully read the descriptions and reviews. Some listings may be misleading, especially titles stuffed with keywords.
I suggest avoiding purchasing beads on Amazon. There may be a handful of reliable sellers, but listing descriptions are often misleading. Some items may mention Miyuki or Japanese seed beads, but they are not authentic.
