1️⃣ Blank Hoop Earrings

Leverback hoop earrings work great for this project. The relatively large opening makes it easier to wrap the wire with beads around the hoops. But any hoops with rounded edges will work. In this project, I used silver hoops in size 40mm.

2️⃣ Seed Beads

I used my 11/0 Miyuki succulent seed bead mix for this project, but you can use any colors you'd like. The most important thing is that the beads are uniform in shape and size. Therefore, I would only recommend Miyuki or other high-quality brand seed beads.

If you're just learning this technique, I recommend using one color or a bead mix before you start trying out different patterns. Bead mixes work great with these hoops. They give designer vibes without the fuss. Just add the colors randomly!

3️⃣ Craft Wire

This project works best with 26 gauge craft wire. I like to match the color of the wire with the color of the hoop. So if I'm using brass hoops, I use brass wire and so on.

4️⃣ Tools

Chain nose pliers and wire cutters. The 26 gauge wire can also be cut with scissors, but I recommend using an old pair so you don't dull your best pair.

5️⃣ Gel Superglue

At the end, I use gel superglue to secure the wire and beads in place. Some brands include Loctite, Zap, and Gorilla. I find that the gel superglue is easy to use, doesn't drip, and dries fast and clear.
