Materials You'll Need
1️⃣ BEADING THREAD
Nylon beading (e.g., Nymo) thread is best for fringe earrings. I used Nymo size B thread in purple for these earrings. But black would work great and be less visible in the hat.
If you're comfortable with switching thread, you can use Fireline or similar for the brick stitch portion and nylon thread for the fringe.
2️⃣ BEADING NEEDLE
Size 10 works great for this project. Big eye beading needles also work well if you're still getting the hang of threading needles.
3️⃣ EAR WIRES
These are easy to find. Simply search for ear wires. And while ear wires are not shown in the example, they attach to the bead loop (not included in the pattern).
4️⃣ SCISSORS/CUTTERS + PLIERS
You will need the pliers to secure the ear wires onto the beaded earrings.
5️⃣ MIYUKI 11/0 SEED BEADS
This design was created specifically for use with our Bewitched Miyuki 11/0 Seed Bead Mix and Miyuki 401F 11/0 Seed Beads. However, we have other Halloween mixes that would also look great, including Twilight, Monster Mash, and Spooky.
Double brick stitch (2 drop) is the main bead weaving stitch with this design. However, you will need to create a foundation row using ladder stitch. You will also need to create one decrease to create a brim to the witch's hat.
The finished design is approximately 1-1/8 inches wide and 3 inches tall (including a bead loop, but not including the ear wire).
Please feel free to use this pattern to make earrings for yourself and others as well as sell the earrings you make. But please do not claim the design as your own or sell the pattern.
