XOXO Odd Count Peyote Stitch Pattern

This pattern creates a Valentine-themed beaded square with an XOXO design. Use as is or add fringe to make earrings.

Materials You'll Need

BEADING THREAD

I used 6lb Crystal FireLine for the peyote stitch portion and Miyuki nylon beading thread for the half-circle fringe.

BEADS

For this project, I used round size 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads, specifically my Hearts bead mix. You can use any colors you'd like, but I do think the pattern works best with size 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads. I have not tried it with any other sizes or rounded seed beads.

BEADING NEEDLE

Size 10 or 12

FINDINGS

To make these into earrings, you will need to create bead loops or use thread guards to attach the design to ear wires.

TOOLS

You will need scissors to cut your thread. And pliers to attach your finished design to ear wires.

Finished Design Size

The square is about 1 x 1.1 inches. This does not include the findings or fringe.

Fringe Details

To make the fringe as shown, start with 24 beads and decrease by 5 beads each strand. For the last strand between the center two beads, use only 3 beads.
